Fashion Friday: Spice Girls Lingerie Inspiration

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know…it seems a little cheesy to be gathering inspiration from the once very popular, “girl power” group, the Spice Girls for a modern lingerie ensemble, but hear me out. First of all, the Spice Girls did embody a very empowering attitude and persona with their “Girl Power” motto and inspired many young girls and teens. Secondly, their music wasn’t all that bad for what it was, at the time. Third, I thought that for a kick-off to our Fashion Fridays segment on the blog, what could be more fun than an entire delicious spread of outfits and ideas based on the fun and various characters of the Spice Girls?!?!?

I hope that you are soon convinced that this is not as lame as you might have thought upon first reading this post, and that maybe, just maybe, you are actually a little inspired by these ensembles I have created for you!

Well there you have it…our first segment of Fashion Fridays! Again, I hope you did find something inspirational here, and just to show that this can be a fun and sometimes silly experience, I hope you had some fun reliving your days as a Spice Girls fan in a more grown-up way.

These outfits are in no way connected to the actual Spice Girls, just inspired by the personas they once embodied.

Set the Mood Monday…Why We Are Helping You Set The Mood

Welcome to our first segment of Set the Mood Monday. Now, you may be asking, why in the world is a photography studio interested in helping me “set the mood” in my own personal life??? The answer is the Allure Studios team is committed to making you feel sexy and confident, and we want you to feel this way not only during your photo session with us, but every day. We are in the business of empowering women and giving them the gift of beauty and allure and what better way to empower a woman than to give her ideas and inspiration for all areas of her life?!

So that is where the inspiration for our Set the Mood Mondays segment comes from, we just want you to feel sexy and empowered every day of the year!

In this segment you can expect to find lots and lots of ideas and inspiration for creating a romantic and sexy experience whenever you want. Whenever you are trying to create a complete experience of any kind, it is important to stimulate all of your senses. That is the approach we are going to take in our once a month theme pieces in this segment.

This segment will not just highlight ways to create sensual experiences but will also feature products, services, and ideas for pampering yourself. Besides, you definitely will not feel like a sexy, alluring woman if you are not looking and feeling your best. Everyone deserves a little pampering and primping every once in a while. We will have guest writers to highlight all sorts of products and services you can use to bring out your sexy and confident side.

Have an Alluring New Year!

Hello Everyone! It’s Steph, here at Allure Studios. We all want to wish you a very Happy New Year!

I also wanted to take a few minutes to explain more about what you can expect from Allure in 2010. We are a new photography studio and have spent the last few months building this business so that it would be ready to launch in the new year. We are so excited to meet all of you and have you visit our studio!

This blog, right here, is going to be a major component of our studio communication. There is an ever-growing amount of information about our studio and boudoir photography in general that we want to share with you. This is where you will find it. We have setup a sort of schedule for topics we want to share with you. You can look forward to seeing a new post here a few times each week and each post will offer information, tips, or ideas on a variety of topics. Here is the schedule of topics for 2010:

Mondays will be Set the Mood Mondays. These updates will feature a variety of ideas and tips for how you can spice things up at home, and create and alluring boudoir experience in your own boudoir.

Wednesdays will feature Allure Announcements, which will focus on happenings here in the studio, such as special offers or events. This segment will also focus on all things related to boudoir photography as a whole.

Fridays will be Fashion Fridays where you can get ideas and inspiration for outfits for your upcoming boudoir photography session here at Allure or read a review about a lingerie shop or discover trends in lingerie and fashion.

Sundays, or Starlet Sundays, as they are known around here, will feature real-life client sessions when we have them to share.

So there you have it…an outline of what kinds of things you will find here on our blog. We will also be hosting guest writers throughout the year to supply insights on a variety of subjects. This is where you will find all information about specials we are going to run here in the studio and packages that we offer. We also have a few special events already planned for 2010 and, of course, all of the details for those will be posted right here. We hope to become your one stop shop for all things boudoir!
